'Hotel' shoot in Venice
Salma Hayek joins the ensemble cast of Mike Figgis's 'Hotel' on location at the Hungarian Palace Hotel in Venice, Italy. The movie uses a similar real-time technique as 'Time Code' and is completely improvised. It features more than 40 actors and actresses, among them Lucy Liu, David Schwimmer, Saffron Burrows and Rhys Ifans.

Warner Bros. releases the long-awaited black comedy 'Chain Of Fools' in the home country of the two Swedish directors. Unfortunately, there is still no information on a possible US release date. The film has just been released on video and dvd in Sweden.

Frida Shoot in Mexico
Finally, Salma Hayek's pet project 'Frida' started shooting in April. With Julie Taymor directing the film, the crew stayed on location for 12 consecutive weeks. Filming locations included Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Teotihuacán and Mexico City. The movie might premiere at the Cannes Film Festival 2002.

Once upon a time in Mexico
Salma reunites with the team of 1995's 'Desperado' and stars in Robert Rodriguez's final part of his 'El Mariachi' trilogy. 'Once Upon A Time In Mexico' stars Antonio Banderas, Johnny Depp, Willem Dafoe, Mickey Rourke and Enrique Iglesias. The release date is set for autumn 2002 (possibly September).
