Remembering your spirit - Honoring you you really are

Thankful for life

What does Wild Wild West costar Selma Hayek do to stay in touch with who she is? As she says, one of the universal ways she finds herself is through being creative. For her it's a matter of survival. "You have to be creative," she says.

It's something Salma's mother instilled in her long ago when she used to say, "Only stupid people get bored." Although Salma didn't quite grasp what her mom meant by that at the time, she eventually understood and incorporated it into her daily life. "If you are smart enough, you will find something in your head to do, or a way to entertain yourself."

Then, there is laughter. Through humor and laughter Salma discovers life isn't as tough as it always seems. "Life is tough, and if you have the ability to laugh at it you have the ability to enjoy it."

In her joy and love of life she expresses her gratitude of it by noticing and appreciating those seemingly little things, like kissing, eating, cooking and friends. "I love life, I appreciate it, because I have a good one."
