Cannes Report: Salma's A Beach Babe
19/05/1999
Salma Hayek drew hundreds of adoring
fans and the town's paparazzi when she
made a highly public appearance.
Arrriving at a
lunch at the
Majestic Beach
in an open
topped vintage
Mercedes with a
paint job worthy
of The Beetles in
their more
experimental
days she
brought the
bottom end of
the Croisette to
a stand still. The
select gathering
was hosted by
Miramax
International for
some of their
overseas guests.
Hayek in town to
promote The
Colonel and
Kevin Smith's
controversial,
some say
blasphemous,
new film Dogma (also starring Alanis
Morisette as God) was also joined by
Terrence Stamp, The Faculty's Josh
Hartnett and The English Patient's
Anthony Minguella.
